The fabric almost looks a little like a chambray. It is wrinkly like a linen and very lightweight. The selvage areas are very “bunchy” so you’d have to hit it with an iron to smooth that out. Or you could lean into a wrinkled look and after handwashing, twist the fabric a bunch of times to give it a permanent gathered look.
Burn test reveals this fabric is made from natural fibers.
