Burn test reveals this fabric is made from natural fibers. This is a plain weave textile that feels a little like a thick/good quality quilting cotton but it has some slubbing to it. This came from a circa 70s-90s textile donation. There are little specs of brown color here and there in the slubs. That is not a stain, see images. I would suggest a camp shirt or loose/gathered pair of house lounging shorts (yes, I made that up)
